Intriguing Insights #12 A - How you doin'?

Extrinsic - Optimistic - Action
1. CELEBRATED

This persona is always positive, driven by how people see him and ready to take those necessary steps to ensure he is liked by all. He is the perfect Mr. Popular.

So this is a persona that one often comes across in popular culture. Right from The Pink Ladies and T-Birds of Grease to the Bollywood portrayal of the much loved college hero. We have seen everyone from Ajay Devgun to Aamir Khan play this Celebrated role.

Karan Johar also seems to have one such character in most of his block buster be in SRK in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Kareen Kapoor in Kabhe Khushi Kabhie Gham.

My favourite portrayal however would be the one you see in the title of this post. Joey in Friends is quite the perfect choice to explain this behavioural identity.

Let's look at it in the context of the three axes. On the first axis we know Joey was always more skewed towards the extrinsic, be it women, his audiences or even his friends, their views were important to him. He was always able to see the bright side of things be it in his career or his love life. And despite that enviable recliner that paints the picture of a lazy guy, between a status quo and action, Joey was certainly someone who preferred to take action.

Let's move on to brands. To me when I think of this behavioural identity Coca Cola springs to mind. It is about sharing a feeling with others, it is about happiness and optimism and surely a brand that challenges the status quo.

The Celebrated people in our midst are entertaining, they are fun to be around and they bring in a lot of positivity to almost any situation.
